7. ALIPORE ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN
The Zoological Garden, Alipore is a big tourist attraction in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was open in 1876. It draws huge crowds during winter season(December and January).
The Zoological Garden, Alipore, remains closed to the visitors on every Thursday. But, it remains open on every Thursday between 15th December to 31st January. If any holiday falls on Thursday, the garden remains open to the visitors on that day.

8. ACHARYA JAGADISH CHANDRA BOSE INDIAN BOTANIC GARDEN
The Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden famously known as Botanical Garden is located on the west bank of River Ganges in Shibpur, Howrah near Kolkata(Calcutta). It is the largest Botanical Gardens in India.
The gardens were founded in 1786 by colonel Kyd, containing about 12,000 living plants and over two and half million dried plant specimens in the herbarium collected from all over the world.
The main attraction of the Botanical Garden is the 250-year-old banyan tree, famously called ‘Great Banyan Tree’. It is considered as the biggest Banyan tree across the globe. The garden is also a rare water lily-Victoria Amazonica. Trees of the rarest kinds, from Nepal, Brazil, Java and Sumatra can be found here.

Entry Fee: Rs 10 per person for Indians and Rs 100 per person for foreign tourists.
Ideal Time to visit the Botanical Garden is October to March.
9. SCIENCE CITY
Science City was opened on July 1, 1997 and consists of two facilities, the Science Center and the Convention Center. It is one of the most popular visitor’s attraction in Kolkata. The science centre complex comprises Space Odyssey, Dynamotion, Science Exploration Hall, Maritime Centre, Earth Exploration Hall and a Sprawling Science Park.
Science City remains open all days of the year(except Holi) from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Ticket counters remain open up to 7:00 pm.

10.NEW TOWN ECO PARK
New Town Eco Park is an urban park in New Town, Kolkata. The Park is situated at a distance of 10 km from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport and is very well connected with VIP Road and EM Bypass.
The park has been divided into three parts: 1) ecological zone like wetlands, grasslands and urban forest. 2) theme garden and open spaces. 3) urban recreational spaces. The copy of seven wonders of the world are also constructed in this park.

The park remains closed on Mondays.

BY TRAIN: Nearest Railway Station is Bidhan Nagar Railway Station. One may either hire taxis from here or board a city bus.
BY BUS: City buses are available from Ultadanga, Kolkata Airport, Salt Lake etc.
