DAY 4, APRIL 4 2018

After visiting Baijnath temple the driver took us to the Chamunda Devi Temple. It is situated in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh near Palampur. The temple is very famous with its magnificent location beside the Ban Ganga river and mountain. The temple is 15 km from Dharamshala. The temple is 700 years old.

CHAMUNDA DEVI TEMPLE.

In the main temple, the main image is visible from the main entrance and the shrine is adored by the image of Lord Bhairav and Lord Hanuman on its sides who are considered as the guards of the Goddess. The idol in the main temple is completely concealed beneath a red cloth. The ambiance around the temple is really beautiful. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the temple.

We stayed 3 days in Dalhousie and 4 days in McLeod Ganj. We enjoyed a lot. Himachal Pradesh is a paradise for travelers, trekkers and pilgrims. The best time to visit to Himachal Pradesh is summer which starts from the month of March and ends in June. Here summer is very pleasant. But for the snow lovers, the perfect time to visit to Himachal Pradesh is during the winter season, from the month of December to January.

One of the best route to reach Himachal via road is from Delhi. You can take a bus or hire a cab from Delhi.
