In the morning of the next day(March 31, 2018), we went to visit Chamba town. It is a small town in the Chamba district in Himachal Prdesh. Distance between Dalhousie and Chamba is 54 km. We booked a car and arrived at Chamba around 11 am. First we went to visit Laxmi Narayan Temple.
LAXMI NARAYAN TEMPLE
Laxmi Narayan temple is a very old and beautiful temple. It is situated at a walking distance from chaugan ground and main market. Chaugan is a velvety green ground which is situated in the heart of the town Chamba. All shopping centers, market and Laxmi Narayan temple are around the Chaugan. The temple was built in the 10th century by Raja Sahil Varman.
BHURI SINGH MUSEUM
After visiting the Laxmi Narayan temple we went to visit ‘Bhuri Singh Museum’. This museum has been named after Raja Bhuri Singh who ruled Chamba between 1904 and 1919. There are old chamba coins, jewellery and traditional costumes in the museum. Also on display, are the popular Basholi and Kangra style paintings.

Then we went to chamera lake for boating. Distance between chamera lake and Dalhousie is 35 km.
Chamera lake is an artificial lake and gets water from river Ravi. It is famous for boating.
Speed Boat: 8 mins. ride Rs. 1350 per couple.
Motor Boat: 30 mins. ride , per person Rs. 350
We opted for the 30 minutes boat ride. We enjoyed the boating.
Then we returned to the hotel. Today was the last day at Dalhousie. We would go to Dharamsala in the morning of the next day.
