THREE DAYS IN UDAIPUR, 29 NOVEMBER 2018-2ND DAY

CITY PALACE(UDAIPUR):

Udaipur City Palace is located on the bank of Lake Pichola. Lake Pichola is an artificial lake. On the 2nd day we went to visit City Palace after breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was free in our hotel. The palace was built by Maharana Udai Singh and his successor Maharanas over a period of the next 400 years. This is the current and permanent residence of the Royal family of Udaipur. The palace is constructed of marble and granite. Getting inside the palace there are several gateways such as, Amar Vilas, Chini Chitrashala, Choti chitrasali, Dilkusha mahal,Jagdish Mandir,Manak Mahal, Mor Chowk,Sheesh Mahal etc and a museum.

VISITING HOURS: 7 am to 11 pm

After visiting the City Palace we did boating at the lake pichola and saw the Jag Mandir Island. Jagmandir is a palace build on an island in the lake pichola. The Royal family used the palace as a summer resort. It is now a 5 star hotel.

It was noon when we came out of the City Palace after boating . We had our lunch at a nearby restaurant. Then we walked to the hotel.

BOAT RIDE(AT LAKE PICHOLA): Rs. 400 per person for Adults, Rs. 200 per person for Children.

SUNSET BOAT RIDE: Rs. 700 per person for Adults and Rs. 400 perperson for children.

In the evening, we watched an hour (7 pm to 8 pm) long famous Dharhar folk dance show at Bagore ki Haveli. Then we went to see Jagadish Temple. It is a very old and beautiful temple. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the temple.

Next morning we went to visit Moti Magri(Pearl Hill).
