RAJASTHAN TOUR-PART-1

TWO DAYS IN BIKANER,RAJASTHAN.(1ST DAY,23 November-2018)

This is my first post.Today I am writing about the first day of my Rajasthan trip.First we went to Bikaner. There are trains from Howrah station to Bikaner. It takes 31-34 hours. On November 23, 2018, I arrived at Bikaner in the afternoon with my daughter and husband. We had booked the hotel room, four months ago. There is no need to book car, plenty of auto rickshaws are available there. After reaching hotel we took a bath and had some snacks and tea.

Then first we went to the Vandasar Jain Temple which is located at Old Bikaner. It is famous for wall painting and art painting. It is made of red sand stone.

Next to Bhandasar Jain Temple, there is a beautiful Hindu Temple named Laxminath Temple. Photography in this temple is strictly prohibited. The temple was beautifully decorated with diyas. Local women have come to worship. After staying in the temple for some time, we went to the market.

Bikaner is famous for its various bhujiyas and sweets. The famous dessert is Ghewar, it is available at Bikaner and other places of Rajasthan only. After shopping we returned to the hotel. We had our dinner early. We must sleep early, because tomorrow we will go to the famous Junagarh Fort. It was built in 15th century.

TWO DAYS IN BIKANER, RAJASTHAN.(2ND DAY)

After a bath and breakfast at the hotel, on the 2nd day we went to Junagarh Fort. It takes at least 2 hours to see the fort built at Red sand stone and marble. It is the only fort of Rajasthan which is located on the plain. From 10 am to 4:30 pm, the fort gate is open to tourists. The entry fee of Indians at Junagarh Fort is 50 rupees per person and 300 rupees for foreign tourists. We took a private guide to Junagarh Fort and it was a very wise decision.

The fascinating Junagarh fort was constructed by Raja Rai Singh between 1588-1593 AD.The supervision of the construction of the fort complex was done by Karan Chand, prime minister of Raja Rai Singh. Junagarh fort has many palaces such as Anup Mahal, Badal Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Karan Mahal, Ful Mahal etc. There was a silver gate weighing 60 kg.

After coming out Junagarh fort, we first had lunch at the restaurant run by the princess of bikaner. Here the price of the food is a little higher. There is a museum too which is also worth visit.

If you have time, you can see the Camel Breeding Farm, 8 km from Bikaner, in the afternoon. You can go to Karanimata Temple, 30 km from Bikaner. 25000 black rats live and are worshiped, in the temple. This Hindu Temple is 600 years old.

Good bye Bikaner .We will go to Jaisalmer tomorrow.

  1. Then first we went to the ‘Vandasar’ Jain Temple

    Next to ‘Bhandasar’ Jain Temple.

The spelling went different Vandasar and Bhandasar in the starting paragraphs.

While reading i flt as if you are narrating it face to face.

While you began with reaching Bikaner then till jain temple it was a smooth and very clear expression of feelings.
